A very readable introduction to medieval warfare and a good starting point for any student with limited background in the subject, i.e., suitable for use in classes not labeled "women.".

She did not live to write the book but some of the material she collected found its way into her popular lectures on medieval women.
If you are interested in history, medieval history and women's history, this is a fantastic book to read.
